Frequently asked questions about operating instructions
Isn't the manufacturer's manual enough?
Sometimes. If it contains equivalent information, it can replace the operating instructions for work equipment (Section 12(2) BetrSichV). Often, however, it is too long or does not match your use.
Where must operating instructions be displayed?
They must be accessible at a suitable location, usually directly at the workplace or the machine.
How many operating instructions do I need?
This follows from your risk assessment and your register of hazardous substances. Similar equipment or substances can often be combined.
